Max Lighting Distance
This feature automatically turns off lights when the distance between the active camera and each light exceeds a certain threshold. The default is set to 10 meters.
For example, if you set the Max Lighting Distance to 500cm (5 meters), lights will automatically turn off when the camera moves more than 5 meters away from them.

The lamp turns off automatically when the distance exceeds 5 meters.

:::info Setting Max Lighting Distance to “0” disables this feature. :::
:::tip From R.Design App February 2025 Release
It is now possible to turn on many lights simultaneously while suppressing GPU consumption and maintaining a certain FPS. :::

Shadow Mapping Method
Sets the method for rendering shadows.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Cascaded | The default shadow mapping method, which places the least burden on the GPU. If you experience light leaking in rooms created with the Room Editor, setting the Shadow Mapping Method to Cascaded is likely the cause. ![]() |

Cast Shadows by Default
To display shadows under a light, you need to turn ON “Cast Shadows” for each light. If you turn ON “Cast Shadows by Default”, “Cast Shadows” will be automatically turned ON when you place a new light from the catalog.
:::info You can toggle this individually for each light in Item Settings > “Cast Shadows” button.

Turn Off Lamps Behind Walls
This feature automatically turns off lights behind walls that are not visible to the camera to reduce GPU consumption.

Lumen Ray Lighting Mode
Sets the calculation mode for the Lumen reflection system in Unreal Engine 5.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Surface Cache (Default) | Simplified calculation mode. It is lightweight and provides sufficient quality for normal use. |
| Hit Lighting | High-precision calculation mode. Reflections on mirrors and glossy surfaces are rendered more accurately, but the GPU load is higher. |
Lumen High Quality Setting
A high-quality setting to suppress flickering in mirrors. Turning it ON improves image quality but affects performance.

Note: This setting would have a performance cost, and your FPS would drop.

Auto Save Interval (Minutes)
Sets the auto-save interval in minutes.
