Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need a Community Site account to use R.Design?

A: Yes, both the desktop app and Community Site use the same account. When you register for R.Design, you automatically get access to both platforms.

Q: Can I use the Community Site without the desktop app?

A: You can browse the gallery and manage your account without the desktop app, but you need the desktop app to create and edit rooms.

Q: Are my rooms automatically public?

A: No, rooms are not public by default. You must explicitly set a room to “Public” in the sharing settings for it to appear in the community gallery.

Q: Can free plan users access the Community Site?

A: Yes, all users (free and paid) have full access to the Community Site. Plan limitations only affect the number of rooms you can save and certain features in the desktop app.

Q: How do I delete my room from the Community Site?

A: Go to My Rooms on the Community Site, select the room, and click “Delete”. Alternatively, delete the room from within the R.Design desktop app, and it will be removed from the Community Site as well.

Q: Can I download rooms created by other users?

A: This depends on the room’s sharing settings and the creator’s permissions. Currently, this feature is in development. When available, you’ll be able to open public rooms in your R.Design app (read-only unless you’re given edit permissions).

Q: What happens to my portfolio if I downgrade from Pro to Free plan?

A: Your existing rooms remain visible on the Community Site, but you’ll be limited to saving only 3 rooms as owner. If you have more than 3 rooms, you’ll need to delete some before saving new ones.
