R.Design Ver. 0.0.9.1.0.0 Release Notes
Release date: 2026-05-26
Overview
A feature-focused release. The new Scatter System speeds up vegetation placement, the new Human Camera enables first-person walkthroughs, the new floor plan overlay shows live camera positions, and the expanded Sample rooms let you load published Community rooms directly from inside the app.
🎉 New Features
1. Expanded Sample Rooms
The Sample tab in the Room Catalog now lists all Community Site rooms whose owners have enabled “Allow other users to open this room in the app” — so you can download and load them directly from inside the app.

Previously: The only entry point was the “Open in app” button on the Public Room Design page of the Community Site.
Now: Open the Sample tab in the Room Catalog and browse all published rooms, with search, sort, tag, and community filters.
Room owners enable visibility by checking “Allow other users to open this room in the app” in the Sharing Options dialog on the Community Site.

2. Floor Plan Overlay (live camera positions)
A floor plan minimap is now shown in the upper-left corner of the viewport, displaying placed cameras as arrows.

- Toggle via the map icon in the top toolbar
- The active camera is shown as a light-blue arrow
- The arrow position and orientation track the camera live
- The floor plan is auto-generated from the room geometry
Preset room compatibility
Ceiling-transparent top view (required for the auto-generated floor plan) works automatically for rooms created with Room Editor. For preset rooms built externally in 3D modeling tools, the modeling team must follow the mesh naming convention (rollout in progress).
3. Scatter System
A new tool for bulk placement of vegetation, grass, and similar items by brushing them onto the ground.

- Launch from the scatter icon in the top toolbar
- Register items to scatter via the right panel (multiple items supported for random placement)
- Brush settings: scatter method, seed, brush radius, jitter, cell size, paint density
- Randomization: min/max yaw (rotation) and pitch for natural variation
- Slope filter: limit valid slope angles (e.g. up to 45°)
Useful for gardens, terraces, parks, and other vegetation-heavy scenes.
4. Human Camera (first-person walkthrough)
A new Human Camera mode that reproduces what the room looks like from a real person’s eye level.

- Toggle via the human icon in the top toolbar to enter first-person view
- Character height: 158 cm (average height of a Japanese woman)
- Eye-line height: approx. 150 cm
- The character body is hidden by default (intended for first-person walkthroughs)
Showing the character lets you also check how the figure looks in third-person.
