App Settings (Overview + 6 Tabs)
(English translation pending. See the Japanese version for current content.)
Reference for the 7-tab Settings modal (gear icon, lower-right): Display, Account, Audio, Contents, Input, Network, Rendering. Display has its own page; the other 6 tabs are documented on this page as H2 sections.
Behavior on version update: the “Recommended settings updated” dialog
When you launch a new version for the first time, the following dialog may appear.

It notifies you that the recommended default values have been updated in the new version.
Which button to choose
| Situation | Recommended button |
|---|---|
| You have never changed settings yourself / no strong preferences | Yes (recommended) |
| You have customized your settings (resolution, rotation sensitivity, output folder, etc.) | No, keep my current settings |
When in doubt, “Yes (recommended)” is fine.
What gets reset if you choose “Yes”
All items in the following 4 tabs of the settings modal are reset to their default values:
- Display (language, resolution, graphics quality, Lumen, auto-save, etc.)
- Audio (sound on/off, individual volumes)
- Input (camera rotation sensitivity, mouse-wheel zoom)
- Rendering (image/video output folders)
The following 3 tabs are not affected:
- Account (login information)
- Contents (DLC root directory, etc.)
- Network (proxy settings)
Nothing outside settings is affected
Even if you choose “Yes”, the following are all preserved — rest assured:
- Login information (no need to log in again)
- My Catalog / favorites / saved work
- Project files
